AdEPorto participates in an innovation session in Matosinhos

The Porto Energy Agency, AdEPorto, participated, on the 24th of January, in an innovation session at the Parish Council of Lavra, Matosinhos, to discuss the commitment to carbon neutrality that the Municipality assumed.

Participants in this meeting were divided into four tables: each dedicated to a theme: (1) “Energy”, (2) “Sustainable Mobility”, (3) “City Action” and (4) “Engagement and Financing”. The objective of the working session was to encourage each group to present solutions to be implemented in order to achieve carbon neutrality in 2030.

This initiative comes from the Municipality of Matosinhos, which is developing other actions and involving the local community in collecting contributions to reach the goal of zero emissions in the territory by the end of the decade. AdEPorto will support all these actions developed by the Municipality.

The innovation session brought together the four parish unions, municipal companies and local authority services. Also present were the mayor, Luísa Salgueiro; the councilor for the Environment and Energy Transition, Manuela Álvares; the councilor for Education, António Correia Pinto; the administrator of Matosinhos Sport, Henrique Calisto; the administrator of MatosinhosHabit, Helena Vaz; and the executive director of the Porto Energy Agency, Rui Pimenta.

Also present were the President of the Parish Union of Perafita, Lavra and Santa Cruz do Bispo, Lurdes Queirós, the President of the Parish Union of Custóias, Leça do Balio and Guifões, Pedro Gonçalves, the President of the Parish Union of S. Mamede of Infesta and Senhora da Hora, Leonardo Fernandes, and the president of the Union of Parishes of Matosinhos and Leça da Palmeira, Paulo Carvalho.
