Last November 1, 2019, the ATELIER project began, funded by the Horizon2020 programme, and which AdEPorto is part of through direct support to the Municipality of Matosinhos.
Financed by the Horizon2020 programme, ATELIER falls under the scope of smart cities and aims to develop urban areas with a surplus energy balance (PED – Positive Energy Districts). The municipality of Matosinhos is part of the consortium of 30 entities which includes 8 European cities that will implement PED solutions. In addition to Matosinhos, the other cities are Amsterdam, Bilbao, Bratislava, Budapest, Copenhagen, Krakow and Riga. The project will run until October 2024.
