In June 2020 a protocol was signed involving the Municipality of Porto, E-Redes and AdEPorto, to "accelerate" towards energy transition. The protocol "Accelerator for the Energy Transition" foresees the development of new innovative technology solutions for decentralized electricity generation, for public lighting or for optimizing electric charging, including the creation of a Center for Energy Transition to be able to more directly and actively involve citizens.
It is expected that this collaboration will allow not only the technological development of the various aspects associated with energy transition, but also to promote the involvement of various entities and citizens, helping to place the city of Porto as a national and international reference in this area.
Following the signing of the protocol, the coordination of technical activities began, which AdEPorto is in charge of managing with the Municipality of Porto.
