The PROLIGHT project mainly targets European urban areas and has the main objective of achieving a decarbonised future economy. The solutions will be implemented in municipal and social housing buildings with the purpose of future replication in residential buildings. These solutions will improve the quality of life of the participants through awareness, knowledge, behavioural change and integration of renewables into appropriate policy contexts. The project started in October 2022 and will run until September 2026 with an overall budget of 2.6M€ for a consortium of 16 beneficiaries from 10 different countries.
AdEPorto is a partner in the project and will contribute to the development of a renewable energy community in a social neighbourhood in Matosinhos. The project foresees the inclusion of energy efficiency measures, the installation of renewable energy sources for electricity generation, demand response solutions, electricity storage, as well as the integration of electric mobility.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101079902
