SPARCS

The SPARCS project, funded by the Horizon 2020 programme, aims to create a network of sustainable, positive energy and zero carbon communities. The Municipality of Maia is part of the consortium of 31 entities collaborating in this project that will run until September 2024, with a total budget of about 24M€. AdEPorto participates in the Advisory Board having, in June 2021, and by invitation of the Municipality of Maia, directly integrated the consortium as "linked third party" of the Municipality.

AdEPorto plays an active and participatory role in the development and implementation of the project, and will support activities of five 'Work Packages' with the overall goal of demonstrating and validating innovative solutions for the planning and deployment of smart and integrated energy systems, resulting in the transformation of cities into sustainable, citizen-centric and zero-carbon ecosystems.
